Ice climbing tasters and guided days

This course is for rock climbers or those with some winter experience wishing to try the best ice climbing Scotland has to offer.

Perhaps there is a classic ice route you’ve always wanted to climb like Point 5 Gully, Aladdins Mirror Direct or the Curtain. However, you don’t have the skills to tackle it alone? Leave that to us and we will guide you on some of the best ice climbs in the UK.

Progressive ice climbing

If you don’t have a specific route in mind and just want to develop your ice climbing, we offer one to five day progressive ice climbing courses.

Learn the ice climbing techniques required to get up any classic ice route along with a host of different winter specific skills. For example; using ice screws, abseiling from an Abalakov thread, keeping your axe or crampons sharp and staying comfortable in the inevitable Scottish winter weather!

Progressive climbing courses run for either three or five days to allow us to make the most of the weather and snow conditions.
